HIZEN uses three capsule formats. Capsules from other manufacturers will not fit – chamber size and shape vary depending on the device.

How to work with dosing capsules

Prepare in advance instead of cleaning up afterwards: You fill several capsules at once, take them with you and change them in seconds.

1. Grinding

Grind the herbs to a medium fineness. The dosing grinder grinds directly into the capsule – no need to transfer anything; you do the rest with the scraper.

2. Filling

Unscrew the capsule at the thread, fill it, and screw it back on. Because the stainless steel capsules are screwed shut, none of the contents are lost during transport.

3. Take it with you

The prepared capsules travel in an airtight capsule magazine. The aroma stays inside, and nothing gets lost in the depths of the backpack.

4. Evaporate & change

Place the capsule in the heating chamber and heat it up as usual. After the session, you can replace it in seconds – the chamber remains significantly cleaner.

Capsules for herbs

Made of stainless steel , with a screw thread, designed for refilling. The standard option for dried herbs. Available as a set of three – and also as a more affordable aluminum version for trying out.

Capsules for Wax & Oil

These capsules have chambers pre-filled with cotton . The cotton retains liquid extracts, oils, and waxes, protecting the electronics of your vaporizer. Available in packs of 3, 9, and 15.

Capsule magazine & bundles

The dosing capsule magazine keeps your filled capsules airtight. It comes in a bundle with six capsules – significantly cheaper than buying them individually. Bundles are available for herbs, wax & oil, and mixed blends.

Frequently asked questions about dosing capsules

Which dosing capsules are compatible with my HIZEN vaporizer?

HIZEN uses three capsule formats: one for the Convectum, Nanu, and Stilus Pro Max ; one for the Stilus Mini and Stilus Pro Conduction ; and one for the Stilus Pro Convection . These formats are not interchangeable. The quickest way to find the right capsule is via the device selection at the top of this page or the "Compatible with vaporizers" filter.

Do HIZEN capsules also fit in devices from other manufacturers?

No. Chamber size and shape vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, therefore dosing capsules are generally not interchangeable. For devices like the Mighty, Crafty, Venty, or Volcano, you need the capsules from the respective manufacturer. Our capsules are exclusively designed for use with HIZEN vaporizers.

Herbs or wax & oil – what's the difference?

Herb capsules are made of stainless steel and screw on and off via a threaded connection – you fill them with ground herbs. The capsules for wax and oil, on the other hand, have chambers pre-filled with cotton: the cotton absorbs liquid extracts and prevents them from leaking into the electronics of your vaporizer.

Are the dosing capsules reusable?

The stainless steel capsules for herbs are designed precisely for this purpose: unscrew, empty, clean, and refill. The screw thread keeps the capsule securely closed. Capsules for wax and oil, due to their cotton filling, are consumable items and are replaced after use.

Why do I need a capsule magazine?

The magazine seals your filled capsules airtight – preserving the aroma, and giving the capsules a secure place on the go, instead of them rattling around loose in your bag. If you need several capsules anyway, the bundle of magazine and six capsules is the more economical option.

How do I quickly fill multiple capsules?

With the dosing grinder : It grinds the herbs in one step and portions them directly into the dosing capsule – no need to transfer. Use the scraper to level off the ground herbs evenly, then simply screw on the lid. The base and lid are magnetic, and you can store the finished capsules in the grinder itself or in the magazine.

How do I clean dosing capsules?

Unscrew the stainless steel capsules, tap out any residue, and clean them like the heating chamber of your device. Allow them to dry completely before refilling. Our vaporizer cleaning guide explains the best way to do this.

Dosing capsules are small containers that you fill instead of using the open heating chamber. You prepare multiple portions, take them with you, and change them in seconds – no grinder, no mess, and no need to scrape the chamber after every session. HIZEN comes with three components: stainless steel capsules for dried herbs, cotton-filled capsules for wax and oil, and the capsule magazine, which keeps the filled capsules airtight during transport. Those who prepare regularly can combine this with the dosing grinder, which grinds directly into the capsule.

Less cleaning

The most common reason for using dosing capsules: The contents are contained within the capsule instead of directly in the heating chamber. This means the chamber clogs up much more slowly – and you need to use the cleaning kit less often.
